New Art Adventures this Spring

Artmania offers classes for everyone; preschoolers, school-aged children, homeschoolers and adults. Learn about the world of art and study the famous artists and our own local artists showcased at the gallery. Learn the history and craftsmanship of African masks. Learn key techniques for drawing and shading using graphite pencils. Learn the basics of the colour wheel and the key techniques for painting. Create a small series of paintings based on a specific theme. Learn ways of creating texture using acrylic pastes and grounds, learn to make striking compositions through the arrangement of line, form and colour, start creating your own beautiful works in encaustic. In one of our classes, children will learn the basic skills to draw their own customized cartoon and they will use professional sculptor’s tools and techniques to sculpt their characters using clay to create a tile scene as well as a sculpted cartoon character vase.

Learn sculpture, encaustic art, sketching & drawing, painting, photography and so much more!

Preschoolers: From April to June, we’re offering classes for tots (ages 2-5) on Friday and Saturday mornings from 10:00 – 11:00am. Let your parents have the morning off while you enjoy making art “all by yourself” with our great artmania teachers!

School-aged children (ages 5 to 17): We have after school and weekend classes at our studio in Dundarave. And we offer art programs at local schools, bringing exciting opportunities to explore different mediums and techniques!

Homeschoolers: Mondays March 27 to May 29; 10:00 am – 11:00 am

Adult Classes: Offered during the day and late evening; some classes start March 20th!
