Explore Nature and Art and Create One of Kind Paintings and Sculptures

With spring comes rain, mud and a bit of sun. Artmania offers young artists an opportunity to “Explore Nature and Art and Create One of Kind Paintings and Sculptures”. This camp will allow students to explore the connection between art and nature through the use of a wide variety of materials such as sand, mud, paint, natural found objects and more! Students will go on excursions to Dundarave beach to explore the wonderful treasures the beach has to offer. Collect found objects to use for art work and learn new ways to create paint brushes, bowls, paint and 3d sculptures from natural found objects. Students will push the boundaries of traditional art materials and learn about famous artists who do the same; such as, painter Jackson Pollock, environmental sculpture by Andy Goldsworthy and more. Let the objects dictate what you create while our artmania teachers show you how to make one of a kind paintings and sculptures you will be proud to display in your home gallery.

Architectural Paintings, Buildings & Castles

Artmania will also be offering their popular architecture class with a nature twist as well ! Young artists will explore the connection between art, architecture and nature through the use of a wide variety of materials such as sand, mud, paint, natural found objects and more! Students will go on field trips to our beautiful Dundarave beach and learn about famous artists who do the same; such as, environmental sculpturist Andy Goldsworthy and organic architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Learn new ways to create 3d sculptures from natural found objects. Explore the fascinating world of organic architecture and learn how architects design structures that are in harmony with the natural environment. Students will learn simple methods to create the impression of depth and solidity in drawing; creating a framed graphite drawing.  Students will also explore built forms with our own sculptural cardboard and create their own building or fantasy castle!
