With spring comes rain, mud and a bit of sun. During our 2018 spring break week one morning camp young artists will explore the connection between art and nature through the use of a wide variety of materials such as sand, mud, paint, natural found objects and more!
In this class students will go on excursions to Dundarave beach. We will explore the wonderful treasures the beach has to offer to collect found objects to use for their art work. Young artists will learn new ways to create paint brushes, bowls, paint and 3d sculptures from natural found objects.
Students will push the boundaries of traditional art materials and learn about famous artists who do the same ,such as painters Jackson Pollock and Janet Sobel, environmental sculpture by Andy Goldsworthy and more.
Let the objects dictate what you create while our artmania teachers show you how to make one of a kind paintings and sculptures you will be proud to display in your home gallery.
Please be sure to send a snack and a bottle of water with your child to each day of the camp. We will be spending sometime of our classes learning & playing outdoors, so pack accordingly.
