The students in our mobile classes are working very hard! Our mobile classes bring the artmania experience to local schools, offering lunchtime and after school classes. This term, the classes have taken advantage of the beautiful landscapes (and beautiful weather) around their schools to study outdoor drawing and perspective.
Perspective is a difficult concept for children to grasp. Children view each tree as an isolated object.
And after weeks of practice, most of the students (finally) understand!
The before and after sketches are amazing!
Last week, the children used the knowledge gained through sketching to start creating their own impressionist canvas painting! Here’s a photo of a proud student holding her work. It will need more layers of paint, but it already looks beautiful!
And in the next few weeks, all the students will have completed their amazing masterpieces!
