Another PD day is approaching, what will your children be doing? Consider enrolling them in PD Day Fun Camp at artmainia. Think of art education, when used to exercise children’s creativity, as a stepping stone for “free-play”.

According to the  American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) “play (or some available free time in the case of older children and adolescents) is essential to the cognitive, physical, social and emotional well-being of children and youth.” But we just can’t have our children run around (unsupervised) all day, doing nothing. They’ll end up at home drawn to screens. So we look for places to take our children, camps to enrol them in, and then we run the risk of over scheduling. Balance is tricky.

Artmania understands this dilemma. On Friday May 20th, drop your children off at artmania for an hour or more (or the whole day!) and they’ll learn a selection of painting and print-making and sculpture techniques and come away with a choice of beautiful framed art work sculptures and prints to add to their home gallery.

Artmania provides a safe and nurturing space, an artistic outlet for children of all ages to explore creativity and self-expression.  Phone us for details 604-670-7592 or visit artmaniabc.ca/class.
