Drawing, Landscape Painting, Watercolour and Pen and Ink

We tend to think of watercolour as a non-permanent medium as compared with oil paint, transparent watercolours of at least four hundred years still exist! We will learn about some of the great watercolourists Edgar Degas, Mary Cassatt, Raoul Duffy, Alexander Calder and Joseph Turner. Discover how Turner used to have himself tied to the mast of a ship during a storm so he could feel the weather, painting later in his studio what he saw and felt in the middle of the storm.

Students will go on field trips to the Dundarave and learn the skills need to use water colour and pen and Ink. Sketch and paint your experience of the beautiful landscape around us.

Please note although we have taught Watercolour painting in past summers at Artmania, we never repeat lessons. Our classes are always new and fresh for our many repeat customers!

Please be sure to send a snack and a bottle of water with your child to each day of the camp. We will be spending sometime of our classes learning & playing outdoors, so pack accordingly.

CANCELLATIONS POLICY:

artmania requires two weeks notice for camp & class cancellations.  We would be happy to provide credit towards a class of your choice. (There are no cash refunds.) Prices do not include tax.
