With spring comes rain, mud and a bit of sun. During our 2018 week 2 spring break morning camp young artists will explore the connection between art, architecture and nature through the use of a wide variety of materials such as sand, mud, paint, natural found objects and more!

Students will go on field trips to our beautiful Dundarave beach and learn about famous artists who do the same ,such as  environmental sculpture by Andy Goldsworthy and organic architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

Our class will learn new ways to create 3d sculptures from natural found objects. They will also explore the fascinating world of organic architecture and how architects design structures that are in harmony with the natural environment.

Students will learn with simple methods you can give the impression of depth and solidity in drawing.  Our art students will also explore built forms with cardboard and create their own building or fantasy castle as well as a framed graphite drawing to add to their home gallery.

Please be sure to send a snack and a bottle of water with your child to each day of the camp. We will be spending sometime of our classes learning & playing outdoors, so pack accordingly.
